Another post got me thinking. For us, that is my family and I, smoking is a part of our culture. We are not from Cuba, but as far as family cultures go, Cuban cigar smoking is a part of what defines us. Of course, there are many other things, too. Does cigar smoking have a place in your family culture.

Cigar smoking, no. Being from rural Texas, cigarettes are the big thing. It's almost inevitable to grow up to be a smoker coming from where I grew up.

No one is smoking in my family, I am the pioneer, and they do not always like my habit, but I am not planning to make someone else continue this tradition. It's their choice, they should decide what to do with their lives, including smoking...

Well, it has a place in our life in the way that my grandfather cultivated tobacco at a plantation in Colombia when he was young but didn't stay much there as he met my grandmother, and they moved back to UK.

It's not my culture but I really like smoking cigars. I don't think I will force my children start smoking them but if they decide doing it, I won't be against it.
