I met a guy this week who kept talking about hygrometers and how having just the right one was so important to other people who smoked cigars. What did he use with his cigars? He was into plants, and he used one of his plant hygrometers. I think he said it came out of a terrarium. He sounded like it worked just fine.

A plant hygrometer? Sounds intriguing, but wouldn't it be correct to use a cigar hygrometer instead? My cigars are too precious to use anything substitutional to keep them safe in my humidor.

That's precisely what I thought, Penelopa, but I figured they were his cigars. I wasn't about to offer him advice. I figure it would either work for him, or it wouldn't. He probably knows more about his stuff than I do, that's for sure.
