I work hard so I like to play hard. If I work hard and I achieve my goals then I budget some money for me to spend on anything I would like. I like spending my extra money on novelties for my Cuban cigars. How much do you like to spend on novelties?

Hey, Skip! I too like spending my money on things related to cigars. My biggest passion is humidor. I like collecting various humidors - old and new - simply to enjoy their beautiful appearance. It's my hobby and I don't use most of them.

After getting a new job I started to spend for cigars much more than I used to! I think that's about 7k since October 2009. Most of what I bought is now aging patiently.

I usually spend about 20-30% of all my cigar budget for something new. Not much, because I have a number of brands I can't live without and need to restock with on a regular basis

It's hard for me to keep track of exactly what I spend, and I've never really taken the time to think about it. I mean, I could easily spend 50 bucks in a day or more. It all depends :p

My budget will skyrocket when I get home if the Partagas Serie 4, Monte #4s, and Cohiba Behikes turn out to be good smokes...scary thinking about how much I'll drop for more cubans lol   Haven't had a chance to try out my new smokes since being gone from my home, but that will change next week.

This is my weak point - I do want to spend more money on cigars, since I started smoking them....but I don't have enough money to order Cohiba Behike, for example....Poor me

I can see from this post that many of you have been smoking for many years. It is hard for me to imagine that anyone could spend $7000 on things related to cigars. You guys are certainly dedicated! :)

Well.. My wife spends much more on on her 'girls stuff' then I do on cigars
Since I tend to smoke just on weekends, it's about $2500 per year in my case.

Hopefully I won't get too hooked on this new found passion of mine. I can't see my self spending that much money on cigars! But then again, for something so good - why not?!

I pretty much spend whatever I can...it is quite a bit, admittedly, however, life is short...

I like cutters. They I wouldn't say I'm a collector, but when I see one that is really unique, I feel like I have to have it. I spent over $300 on a table top cigar cutter and I had a little buyer's remorse because I couldn't help thinking how many cigars I could have bought for that price!

My favorite novelty cigar collectible is cigar boxes.  I have hundreds of them accumulated over the years.  I don't really have a limit on how much to spend.  I just buy one if it catches my eye or if it's particularly valuable.

I don't really spend on novelties because I don't even have that many cigars. I want to get a good humidor and build my collection of cigars. Then if I have some money burning a hole in my pocket I'll consider the extras!

I spend $300-$400 a month on cigars. I don't really spend on the extras anymore because I already have everything I need including some great humidors. Occasionally a sharp looking unique cutter might catch my eye but that's about it these days.

I don't care anything about the extras. I want a cutter that cuts. I want a lighter that has fire. I want a humidor that is accurate.

I totally concur with your attitude! Usually I set aside about fifty dollars per month to blow on cigar stuff. If I can save up for several months, I allow myself to splurge even bigger!

This sounds silly, but I kind of get my cigar novelties for free. I make a point to cut out coupons I know I can use and to make myself use them. My reward is that the savings goes into my "spoiled girl" account. I can use that money for anything I want for myself because it's found, or free, money. At least that's how I justify it.

I limit myself to a couple of hundred dollars a year, but I will save up for something special if I really like it. That's the only way I can justify the expenditure.

I figure I spend a hundred dollars a month or less, but I don't drink either. My hobbies aren't expensive, so I can justify spending the thousand dollars a year, more or less.
