I'm a newbie to smoking cigars. I started maybe just over a year ago. At first, I wasn't too sure of it, but now I really don't mind it much.

I actually just started, which is kinda strange. I know I'm a bit old to have just started, but my parents were really strict about me not drinking, smoking etc.

Hey, Bobby, it doesn't matter when you start, it only matters if you truly enjoy it! Welcome to our big BOTL family

Personally I've smoked cigars ever since I went to Cuba for a winter holiday back about 10 years ago. When I flew home, I purchased some Cuban Cigars from duty free. I figured what the heck! I want to give these things a try. Wow, what a treat. I don't smoke cigarettes, and it took me a bit to learn some of the basics, but I love a good Cuban Cigar now. Now that I've found this forum, and a great place to order the cigars from, I'm a happy camper!

I'm 41 years old now. I smoked my first cigar when I was 16 when me and my friend ran out of cigarettes and "borrowed" one of my Dad's. I've been completely hooked ever since then.

My father was a dedicated cigar smoker and he left me his humidor in his will - to sell or to keep as I wished. Only in recent months have I become more interested and started to smoke his cigars.

I have been smoking for many years. I have never bought them online. So while I am new yo your forum I am not new to the joys of cigar smoking.

Hey MisterMr! Life is so much easier when you can just order them online, and sometimes more interesting as well. Let us know when you make your first order.

I'm still very new to cigar smoking. I think I started about a year ago now. I like it, but I am still trying to find out which ones I like and which ones I don't.

I had my first cigar last week (Wednesday I think...). I'm hooked because it's relaxing, lasts a good amount of time, and feels more social than smoking cigarettes eventually becomes.

Let's see...my Dad smoked cigarettes (WWII vet)...I never tried and never liked them...in college, 46 yrs ago, I started with a pipe...then moved into "drug store" cigars..then discovered handmades NC...then about 39 years ago had my first Cuban in Canada where I was working...then discovered Frank Correnti, a little 70 yr old cigar roller in Toronto..he got me hooked on Havanas..his handmades were second to none..the likes of George Burns and Bill Cosby favored his smokes...Cosby himself even climbed the old wooden stairs up to the second floor warehouse shop to purchase his stogies on several occasions...Mr. Correnti died several years later and I had to move back to the states...Habanos have been few and far between...hopefully that is about to be rectified...:) Sooo...been smokin' 'em for about 45 years now....but mostly NC like Fuente, Padron, CAO, Avo etc...

I had my first cigar when I was maybe 14/15/16, I don't remember exactly. I started smoking cigars regularly a few months ago, though I tend to stick only to smoking cigars at the weekend.

I'm fairly new to cigars but it was love at first puff! I have only smoked for a few years and I love the process of trying new cigars. I don't smoke a lot but when I do, I set out to enjoy it. I'm the sort that would rather smoke one delicous cigar than 10 so-so cigars.

I had my first cigar in high school.  Me and a buddy went to a local cigar emporium and I had my first humidore experience.  I still remember that first cigar I bought for our "guys night".  Well, that was 11 years ago and I still love 'em.

I only started smoking a few months ago. I always thought cigars smelled bad until my cousin was showing me his collection and they just seemed so inviting so he had me try one and the taste was not at all as I expected.

I had one in 2005 (a friend smuggled some in via Croatia) but just started smoking on any kind of regular basis a few weeks ago.

I've not been smoking cigars more than a couple of months, but I'm trying to develop the habit. I hang around with some older gents who turned me on to the idea after a fishing trip to the beach. They seem to enjoy it, so it seemed like a good thing to get into. I don't want to be the only man out next fishing season.
