I am a chocolate lover, and was thinking about ordering one of the Swiss chocolate packages, I found on here. Does this chocolate really enhance the Cuban cigar experience? What have you found that goes great with a good Cuban?

Some people enjoy chocolate with their cigars. However, most people choose to pair their cigar with a drink. Some of the more popular drinks are:-

  • Single malt whiskey
  • Cognac
  • Port
  • Coffee

My personal favorites are Baileys, Port, Coffee or Armagnac.

I like a nice Port wine in my carrying flask when fishing in the high country (Colorado). Just enough fire to warm the belly and not dump me in the river like whiskey. This is at altitude, nine to ten thousand feet where alcohol can got to your head quickly.

Personally, I would go with a dark chocolate with a cigar.  And don't get any old cheap candy bar, either.  Ghiradelli or Godiva should go well.  Call me crazy, because I know that lots of people don't like sweets when they drink, but I suddenly have a craving for a good cigar, a glass of brandy, and a piece of dark chocolate.

I can't see anything wrong with chocoalte and cigars but I personally don't particularly like chocolate. I much prefer my cigar as an accompaniment to my favourate real ale, Doom Bar.

I think a nice little (well comparatively little) drink of Southern Comfort with my cigar is what I really like best.  I can't eat chocolate because it gives me migraines.  Red wine gives me migraines as well.

Are there sulfates in chocolate? Usually people who get migraines from red wine are reacting to the sulfates, so I just wondered. It's a shame you can't eat chocolate, Cindy.

I am a huge chocolate junkie (my wife says I'm worse than her!) but my favorite accompaniment to a cigar is either Merlot or a good whiskey. I like strong flavors and those two drinks balance out cigars well for me.

Chocolate and cigars? Too feminine, for my choice.

I personally have never had chocolate with a cigar. It may be worth a try...who knows might just like it.

Personally, I like a nice lager beer with my cc!

Chocolate is my biggest passion after cigars, of course. However, to tell you the truth, I like chocolate even better than cigars, it was always my number one passion, and nothing could be compared to it.
