Smoked a Saint Luis Rey Regios last night and since this is a cigar that's not very popular (undeservedly) I thought I would post a short review on it.

This is a Robusto size cigar and was from a June 2012 box. Construction was good with a nice draw and an even burn. Although relatively young, it was very smooth with no harshness at any point. It was mild to medium bodied cigar with a sweet, floral flavour profile which I enjoyed tremendously. You also get notes of vanilla, caramel and gingerbread which are very enjoyable.

If you are looking for a mild, refreshing cigar that doesn't need a lot of aging to show it's best, try out the SLR Regios.

Thank you for such nice review, kwsaw63! I tried one a week ago, and I really liked it! It tasted exactly as you described - awesome! Will definitely try one more!

I wonder why it is not popular, considering it is not as pricey as a Cohiba but possessing the same quality, if not better?

I guess it's not as widely known as the mainstream brands like RyJ, montecristo, Partagas, etc. Plus there are a lot of ignorant snobs who will only smoke so called premium Brands like Cohiba or Trinidad.

Yes, I know some of them, I don't think such people could be considered real aficionados, to my mind, since every smoker should smoke a range of cigars to find out what he/she really likes before switching to particular brands - to be able to judge about Cuban cigars, in general.
Are you with me?

I was just looking for a Robusto with a flavor profile. Thanks for the suggestion, kwsaw63, it's always in time and to the point.
