I've just purchased an acrylic jar humidor. I had never seen them until recently. I'm hoping that it works out well, because it just seems to be more portable than any other humidor that I've had. Does anyone have any feedback on these, or anything that I should be aware of? |

I haven't heard of these, but I get visions of clear plastic. That's not what you mean, I'm sure. I'll watch out for them. Maybe I'm thinking Lucite. What are the benefits of acrylic humidors over traditional types? |

I looked this up because it sounded strange to me. Sure enough, they are inexpensive, acrylic canister looking things. Price range seems to be about $10 to $20 and the few reviews I saw said this is simply for short term storage; don't expect to season a cigar in one of them. They look like the container my wife uses for storing coffee...hmmm...ideas, ideas! :D |

What do you mean an Acrylic Jar Humidor? Does it look like an usual glass humidor or is it something totally different? |

Acrylic jar humidor is like this:

I do agree it's good for short term storage - for an everyday smoke for instance. For maturing cigars, however, I would still use good old wooden stuff.
Camillo, keep an eye on your humidity level inside the jar as it may get too humid there sometimes. |

Hm, it looks like a usual jar to me. Are you sure you could store cigars there? Though it's very beautiful, and one could even enjoy his cigars all day long, and never get tired. |

This jar-humidor looks unusual but it is a real humidor,so I think it should be good for storing your cigars in it, don't worry. |

It is so beautiful, I really like it! I would always use it for my cigars, and it is such a pity that is not healthy for them. |
